DIGITAL ARTS SEMINAR/WORKSHOP

LEARN HOW TO ADVOCATE THROUGH THE CYBER MEDIA
"2-Day Seminar Workshop on Digital Arts
and Social Media Site Design and Development"

The Ostomy Association of the Philippines is presently proposing a joint project with the    Philippine Cancer Society as its sponsor/advocate partner to hold a two-day seminar training workshop on digital photography/videography and editing including social media site design and development. The aim of the seminar workshop is to help the association and its advocate partners acquire skills in digital technology and cyber media as a tool in advocacy campaigns.

The project was conceptualized during the launching of the World Ostomy Day 2012 Celebration with the theme: “Let’s Be Heard” at Balitaan sa Aloha on October 3, 2012. The video produced during the forum was uploaded in You Tube, featured in social media sites and distributed through emails aside from mainstream media, which were syndicated by foreign media publication and other mainstream media abroad  through the internet. The project sponsored by the Philippine Cancer Society, the Association of Colorectal Surgeons in the Philippines, Association of Colorectal Surgeons in Asia, the Ostomy Association of the Philippines and Balitaan sa Aloha, was considered one of the most publicized and well covered celebration of the event from among the Ostomy Associations all over the world.

Thus, the Ostomy Association of the Philippines, with its advocate partners in the cyber world decided to embark on this project. The seminar workshop is open to the public, especially to cause oriented organizations/associations.
